Philip Johnsons life when he was young

Philip Johnson was born on July 8, 1906 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a spoiled kid. He had two sisters and a brother. His brother died at the age of 5. No girls liked him because he was unpopular. Johnson attended the Hackley school, in Terrytown, New York. Johnson had to go to Sunday school. Johnson then went to Harvard in 1957, as an undergraduate where he majored in history and philosophy. Johnson’s dad (Homer Johnson) was a lawyer and liked to play golf on his days off. Johnson’s mom (Louise Johnson) was a stay at home wife because his family had lots of money. His mom was interested in architecture. After Harvard Johnson went to the University of Chicago. After the University, Johnson had to pick between Berkley and Yale. He picked Berkley, the reason is because it was more of a community College unlike Yale, because it was a prep school. He ran for local state legislature but he realized he was a lousy politician. Johnson worked for some years at the Museum of Modern Art on architecture, that’s when it hits him, from then on he decided to be an architect.
